University of North Carolina adds StatMonitr for 2013-14

CHAPEL HILL, NC -- StatBroadcast Systems announced today that the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will use the StatMonitr media stats system for its home athletic events in 2013-14, beginning in August 2013.

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was one of the first public universities in the United States and is one of hte original eight Public Ivy schools. Founded in 1789, UNC-Chapel Hill is the flagship of the UNC system, with an enrollment of 29,390. The UNC Tar Heels are one of the most recognizable names in sports, fielding 27 varsity teams as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference in NCAA Division I. The UNC men's basketball team has won 58 conference hcmapionship, made 18 Final Four appearances and has won the NCAA National Championship five times. UNC also has the most successful women's soccer program in the NCAA, winning 22 national championships, with the most recent coming this past Fall. The school's 40 NCAA team championships ranks in the top 10 among all schools.
